I found out about Gardiner by perusing faculty write-ups at Concordia because of their communication school. I contacted him to see if he was interested in discussing my work and ended up spending lunch and the afternoon with him in Hudson Heights where he lived. He quickly concluded that my notions of linguistic reflexivity of software represent the underlying mechanism predicted by his work on the current transformation of media. This is analogous to Darwin's work predicting the need for DNA but not foreseeing the actual mechanism ultimately revealed by [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Watson|James Watson]], [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francis_Crick|Francis Crick]] and a little known researcher, [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosalind_Franklin|Rosalind Franklin]]. I found out about Gardiner by perusing faculty write-ups at Concordia because of their communication school.
